Sand is a pop artist based in Omaha, NE. Formed in 2021, Sand and her band are influenced by a unique blend of soft rock, jazz, and psychedelia. The music is filled with uplifting guitar solos, improvisation in live performance, and the sounds of melting synth melodies. Sandy intertwines meaningful lyrics that touch your heart with melodies that get stuck in your head. Sand has written nearly 200 songs all inspired by the highs and lows of her own life and those around her.
Her mission is to be patient, courageous, and mindful to form health and comfort in this existence: “For me, comfort comes in the form of belonging and music has always made me feel like I belong even in my darkest moments. I make music because it brings me joy and I want to give back to my community in the way other artists have given to me.”
Sandy values self-discipline, trust, authenticity, and mindfulness. These values permeate the music and energy that her team produces and performs. She strives to inspire her fans to be kind to themselves, work toward their goals, and live out their dreams.
Sand has been in the studio working on new singles, “The Locked Door” and “Cosmic”, which will be released in June and September. The band is gearing up for summer festivals to share the latest EP, “Don’t Let It Bite”. Sand has been nominated for Best Pop and Best New Artist by the Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards. The band has performed at the Slowdown, Gene Leahy Mall, Omaha Summer Arts Festival, and Saturday in the Park in Souix City, Iowa.
